Not every payment a waste collection or compost pickup business receives comes through a card on file. Checks arrive in the mail, cash is handed to a driver, and a customer pays half now and half next week. stopSuite's billing now records all of it against the invoice and shows you exactly who owes what.

Record Check, Cash and Partial Payments on Any Invoice

For businesses taking payments through stopSuite's CardPointe integration, every invoice has a Record Payment action for a check, cash, a bank transfer or an outside card terminal. Enter any amount, the check number and the date it arrived. Pay less than the balance and the invoice stays open for the rest. Pay more and the extra sits on the customer's account as credit that comes off their next invoice automatically. One invoice can even be split between a card charge and a check.

A bounced check is one click to reverse, which stops automatic charging and marks the subscription past due until it is settled. Every invoice lists each card charge, recorded payment and credit applied, and when the checks go to the bank you record the deposit so it sits beside your card deposits.

Accounts Receivable Aging by Account

Three new billing reports answer what your bookkeeper asks every month:

  • Receivables by Category shows every open balance aged into not yet due, 0 to 30, 31 to 60, 61 to 90 and over 90 days, broken down by your accounting categories. Click any number to see the invoices behind it.

  • Invoiced by Category totals what you billed in any date range by account, with how much is still open, and links straight to those invoices so you can email or print them in bulk.

  • Payments lists every payment received by date, method and check number, which deposit it landed in, and how much went to the invoice versus onto account credit, with CSV export.

Also New: Drip Email Sequences for Mailing Lists

A mailing list can now send a series of follow-up emails, each a set number of days after someone joins. Turn on abandoned signup collection and anyone who starts your signup form inside your service area but leaves joins the list automatically, gets a link that resumes their signup with their address filled in, and drops off the moment they finish.
