Every driver on a residential trash route knows the problem. The truck comes down a street, loops around a cul-de-sac, and drives back out the way it came. Which pass should each house be serviced on? Good route optimization software should answer that the way your crew actually works, not leave drivers to improvise around the stop list.
Curb Pass: Tell the Optimizer How Your Crew Works the Street
stopSuite's route optimizer now has a Curb pass setting. Whenever a route drives past a stop more than once, it decides which pass that stop is listed at:
Right side waits for the pass where the stop is on the driver's right, so a one-person truck with a side arm or a driver working solo never has to cross traffic to reach a cart.
First pass lists the stop the first time the truck goes by, for crews with a helper who services both sides of the street at once.
The drive itself stays the same either way. What changes is the stop order your drivers see in the app and the estimated arrival times for each stop, so both match how the street really gets worked. The setting saves with the rest of your optimizer preferences as a default for each route and schedule, and an info button walks through each option with a cul-de-sac diagram so dispatchers can pick the right one at a glance.
Also New: Customers Can Turn On Autopay Themselves
Customers who pay by invoice can now switch to automatic payments straight from the Payment Method page in their customer portal. They pick a saved card or bank account, accept the authorization, and every renewal after that charges on its own. If they have a past due invoice, the page offers to pay it on the spot. Fewer invoices to chase, steadier cash flow, and no phone call needed.
Also New: Drivers Can Fix Their Own Timesheets
Forgot to clock in? With a new permission, drivers can correct the times on their own recent timesheets and add a shift they missed, within a window you set. Every change is marked Driver edited with a full history, so the office reviews instead of retyping.
